The Big Backyard Luau: A Lifestyle Director’s Perspective
At Traditions of West Brandywine, the residents came together to throw the biggest party at the community to date: the Summer Luau! Hear from the Lifestyle Director Michelle Smith on how everything came together for a huge summer celebration!
Building the Oasis & Anticipation
The West Brandywine Social Committee had always intended to throw a great party when the outdoor amenities were completed. As the pool and amenities were being built, so was the anticipation. The residents were so excited in the months leading up to the big reveal, looking ahead to a brand-new space to enjoy with all their neighbors and friends. Every day residents would stop by the Clubhouse just to get a glimpse of the progress. As it neared completion, the Social Committee got to planning!
The Perfect Party in the Perfect Setting
The Committee had their work cut out for them and they did not disappoint! They went above and beyond decking the entire Clubhouse and pool area out in true Hawaiian flare, creating a signature cocktail for all to enjoy and finding the perfect DJ to keep the party going all day long! One of the West Brandywine residents even offered to cater the event and the Committee members couldn’t have asked for more delicious food!
High-Energy and High Attendance
The true headcount was not known until the day of the big luau and with over 120 residents in attendance, the super summer celebration was a record breaker for the Committee! Everyone had a wonderful time meeting with all their friends and neighbors to truly break in their new pool and outdoor amenities. Nothing but smiles all day from all of the residents in attendance!
