Community Manager – Residential Construction

Traditions of America, a national leader in the development of 55+ lifestyle communities, seeks a seasoned, motivated and highly organized Community Manager in the Coopersburg, PA region and also the Richmond, Virginia region. In this fast-paced and detail-oriented role, the Community Manager will oversee the land development and home building process from start to finish. You will be the primary on-site manager of a multi-million-dollar residential development, leading a team of construction managers and trade contractors, and interfacing one-on-one with homebuyers, as well. Opportunities to interact directly with the Executive Management Team on a regular basis. Key areas of responsibility include purchasing, construction and warranty oversight. Positions available at both our Locust Valley community in Coopersburg, PA and our Chesterfield County community in the Richmond, VA area.

Job Details:

  • Reporting directly to on-site Regional Vice President
  • Staff to Supervise: Supervisors, Technicians, Laborers, Construction Administrator

  • Effective management, motivation and training of staff
  • Efficient coordinator of vendors
  • Discipline to maintain schedules
  • Ability to avoid cost over-runs

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • 7+ years of residential construction management
  • College degree
  • Knowledge of construction & building codes
